My journey to author started at my mother’s side. Every day we’d watch her favorite soap operas together, crying at the angst filled storylines, sighing at the kissing scenes, and celebrating the hard won happily ever after. When the couple’s relationship ultimately ended, I decided I’d write my own happily ever after for them.
The obsession led to creating my own stories of romance with my sister for an audience. She spent hours patiently acting out my stories with our dolls. My parent’s purchase of a word processor in my teen years fueled my first attempts at writing.
I’m drawn to villainous characters over heroes with a heart of gold. Give me a vampire, mafia kingpin or dissolute rake and I’m there … devouring every word, my heart pounding. My favorite works explore anti-heroes, their darkness illuminated by the heroine’s inner light. Every one of them finding a happily ever after.
When I’m not scribbling out my fantasy worlds, living, and breathing romance, you can find me spending time with my family. I’m lucky to have the support of a patient husband, three thoroughly amused eye-rolling boys, and three crazy cats.
